As dimension has key importance, providing exact sizes of your instruments may help customers choose the perfect items. On a violin we may have several dimensions to measure; below you can find the most important of them:
A1, Fingerboard to body: Place the measuring device to the head of the fingerboard (except nut) and measure the distance between the fingerboard and the point where the neck joins to the body. General distance is 130 mm.
A2, Body to bridge (diapason): Measure the distance between the upper part of the body and the bridge. General distance is 195 mm.
A3, Scale length (mensur): Measure the distance between the head of the fingerboard and the bridge.General distance is 325 mm.
B1, Body length (corpus): Skipping the button, measure the distance between the upper and the lower part of the body.
